But Tosh was a purist in many ways, and even on "Nuclear War", which I think was the last album he put out before his death, he still used humans to play the parts. I don't have all of Tosh's albums I'm more into Culture, the Itals, LKJ, Mutabaruka, Israel Vidbes, the list goes on. ![]() these guys didn't screw around, and got in and out of the studio prety damn fast. Saw them live many times, and you would be amazed how rock steday and professional most of the heavily used session artists are. Listen to some of the albums the Roots Radics sessioned on. You had to have the talent as a dummer to sound like your beats were programmed. Also keep in mind that albums that were recorded in some of the Jamacian studios didn't have the funds to buy the latest and greatest gear. ![]() Pretty much every album he and Robbie sessioned on during that period were Simmons heavy. ![]()
