Which is fair as they only stress test their internals for regular customer service intervals with the specced oil. It won't damage anything and it might be interesting for you to see how it changes the fork.īut you will also get the usual stuff from the manufacturer regarding warranty and such = only valid if you're using the oil they spec. I would guess most bigger and smaller than average EWS and DH racers aren't running the normal spec oil in their forks. It's actually a little know tool to get your fork to perform how you would like it. A different weight will change the damping characteristics of the fork somewhat. Generally they spec a weight as their damping is tuned for a specific oil weight. I've had conversations with another fork company regarding oil weight. ![]()
